The RIPPLE Award
A ripple is a gradually spreading effect or influence. It forms small waves or undulations, as water is agitated by a breeze. Those who vigorously promote the conservation of our water resources serve as small ripples with an enormous potential to create enduring waves.

Purpose of the Award
To recognize a committee member, committee chair, former Division trustee, or former Division chair for sustained service, contributions, and demonstrated creativity, initiative and dedication to the work of the Water Conservation Division.
The Award
An individual plaque will be presented to recipient. In addition, a complimentary registration will be offered to the next WaterSmart Innovations Conference.
Frequency of the Award
The award is given annually, if eligible nominations are received by the deadline. The Water Conservation Division reserves the right to not present the award in any year where an outstanding candidate is not identified.
Eligibility of the Award
The award is open to any current or recent committee chairs, current or past committee members, former Division trustees or a former Division chair (serving in the previous three years), who has demonstrated initiative, creativity and dedication within the Water Conservation Division. Current Division trustees and the current Division chair are not eligible.
Nomination Procedure: Nominations Due March 31
Any committee member, committee chair, Division trustee or Division chair may submit a nomination documenting the exemplary service or contributions of the nominee within the past three years. Self nominations will not be accepted.
Nominations should be forwarded to the AWWA Staff Advisor of the Water Conservation Division or sent to awards@awwa.org by March 31.
Award Committee Membership
Water Conservation Division Chair and Trustees.
Method of Selecting Award Recipient
Majority vote of the Water Conservation Division Trustees after the nomination submission deadline.
Award Presentation
The award will be presented at the opening general session of the next WaterSmart Innovations Conference.
