The Golden Spigot Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize a committee member, committee chair, former Division trustee or former Division chair for sustained service or contributions to the Division or demonstrated creativity, initiative and dedication to the work of the Water Quality & Technology Division.
The Award
An individual plaque will be presented to recipient. In addition, a complimentary registration will be offered to the next AWWA Water Quality Technology Conference & Exposition.
Frequency of the Award
The award is given annually, if eligible nominations are received by the deadline. The Water Quality & Technology Division reserves the right to not present the award in any year where an outstanding candidate is not identified.
Eligibility for the Award
The award is open to any current or recent committee chairs, current or past committee members, former Division trustees or former Division chair (during the previous three years), who has demonstrated initiative, creativity and dedication within the Water Quality & Technology Division. Current Division trustees and the current Division chair are not eligible.
Nomination Procedure
Any committee member, committee chair, Division trustee or Division chair may submit a one-page nomination documenting the exemplary service or contributions of the nominee within the past three years. Self nominations will not be accepted.
Nomination Requirements: Nominations Due May 1
Nominations should be forwarded to the AWWA Staff Advisor of the Water Quality & Technology Division or to awards@awwa.org by May 1.
Award Committee Membership
Water Quality & Technology Division Chair and Trustees.
Method of Selecting Recipient
Majority vote of the Water Quality & Technology Division Trustees after the nomination submission deadline.
Award Presentation
The award is presented at the opening general session of the next AWWA Water Quality Technology Conference & Exposition.
