Accessing Your Course
How do I enroll & access my eLearning courses?
Step 1: First, all learners must have their own AWWA customer account – do not enroll using a company or other individual’s else’s account. Customer accounts are free and membership is not required – although members do receive a discount.
Step 2: Explore our eLearning catalog, login to your own AWWA account, and complete your course registration.
Step 3: After registration and payment is complete, visit awwa.org and click ‘My Account’. From there, select ‘My Courses’ from the left-hand navigation menu.
Step 4: You will be redirected to AWWA’s Learning Management System (LMS). Click your course title to begin.
What is a self-paced course?
Self-paced courses are delivered exclusively online, and progress is driven solely by the student. This format allows the student to move through course content at his/her own pace, taking into consideration the individual’s knowledge level and capacity. Self-paced courses can be completed anytime during a 90-day period after registration. These courses may include presentations, pre-recorded audio, supporting articles, online learning activities, videos, quizzes and evaluations. View AWWA’s full list of courses here
Continuing Education
Many engineering, operator, and other professional licensing agencies will accept eLearning courses, but it varies widely for every state & province.

Certificates of Completion: Follow the five steps at awwa.org/credits to download any certificates available to you.
It is the individual’s responsibility, before registering for any education program, to contact his/her licensing agency: 1. To confirm that the education program is acceptable for continuing education credit towards your particular license; and 2. To confirm what you need to submit for credit approval. You must contact your specific licensing agency for details.

Compatible when set to accept cookies and the pop-up blockers are turned off, and you have Adobe Support installed or have the capability of installing on your Apple device, with version 10 or higher of Adobe Flashplayer. Mac Users: OS X 10.3 or later. Please note iPads do not currently allow Adobe Support to be downloaded onto the device and therefore are not compatible with many online courses.

Certificate of Completion
A Certificate of Completion from AWWA indicates that the student has completed the requirements of this online course, which may include passing exams, completing required laboratory assignments, and spending the requisite amount of time in the course. A certificate from AWWA does not guarantee that a student possesses a minimum level of skills or knowledge regarding the subject matter.
Completion Timeline
You will have 90 days to complete a self-paced course(s) once the course has been started. Instructor-led courses have a set begin and end date with weekly assignments due that count towards course completion.
Non-refundable
eLearning courses, both self-paced and instructor-led are non-refundable.
Continuing Education Units
You may be awarded AWWA CEUs/PDHs for this course by your licensing agency. AWWA grants CEUs for this course at a rate of 1 CEU for 10 contact hours. It is your responsibility, when taking any training program, to contact your licensing agency beforehand to confirm that the coursework:
- Meets all requirements so that you will be awarded continuing education credit towards your license by your licensing agency.
- Meets all requirements for certification.
