EPA/RCAP/AWWA Grant Library
AWWA has partnered with RCAP to provide training and technical assistance for small public water systems across the country to achieve and maintain compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act since 2014.
EPA/AWWA/RCAP Grants Library
Our Library
Since 2014, AWWA has partnered with RCAP to develop and deliver Training & Train-the-Trainer material on various topics, and to deliver direct Technical Assistance to small, rural water systems across the country. This page is a content library containing Training & Train-the-Trainer material.
All materials co-developed by RCAP and AWWA through their US EPA-funded partnership — including all materials in on this site (including curriculum), tools, and eLearning content — are co-owned and available for use by AWWA, RCAP, and their affiliates. AWWA will continue to host and provide access to this site as well as the AWWA Store where eLearning is stored. All materials when used should remain co-branded in acknowledgment of the partnership and should continue to give initial funding credit to EPA though they are no longer owned by EPA.
Levels of Access
All material published on this site is free for use by RCAP Regions and AWWA Sections. Material developed under active grants that are still in an active performance period are indicated with “NEW” prior to the title. While “NEW” material under an active grant can be used by AWWA, RCAP, and their affiliates during the grant performance period, the material must be disseminated at no cost to the attendee, or workshops using this material must be free.
All material that was developed as part of a completed grant with a completed performance period are indicated using plain text. While workshop material developed under a completed grant was developed using funding provided by the US EPA, RCAP and AWWA Sections can sell seats to workshops they facilitate using material developed under a completed grant. However, AWWA strongly encourages that workshops be offered at no cost to interested small utilities.

Material Format Definitions
Training
- Live Training Material (Live Training): Live Training material was developed and used to train RCAP in-person on various topics. These materials include: lesson plans, participant handouts, presentations, pre- and post-tests, and attendee evaluations.
- Self-Paced eLearning (eLearning): Self-paced eLearning is online training administered through AWWA’s Learning Management Software platform that lets you study comfortably from your own space, on a schedule that suits you. Access to eLearning materials requires you create an AWWA account. AWWA membership is not required to create an AWWA account.
Train -the-Trainer: Train-the-Trainer was developed and delivered to train RCAP on how to Train utilities or other RCAP staff on various topics.
